When Universal Migrator transfers data, it moves it in layers. This allows the firm to start using the new system as quickly as possible.
- The very first things that migrate are contact and matter names.
- When the names are migrated, they initially do not have any additional information like notes, addresses, or custom fields.
- Later in the process, that information is layered in so the firm should not be concerned and should expect to see this information appearing during the migration.
- As soon as the contact and matter names transfer, they can start putting all new data (like time, documents, tasks, notes, etc.) in the new system.
