As you work with our team and our tools, we want to encourage you to do adopt the following philosophy:

Always Think Like a Surgeon
Surgeons have Rock-Solid Equipment
No surgeon walks into an operating room that has old or broken tools. No surgeon would even attempt a procedure if his scapple was rusty, broken, or not up to spec. No surgeon ever says "I think I can make that tool work." Surgeons use the best tools that are reliable and always work every single time
We expect you to follow a similar approach.
Use good, trustworthy equipment that you can count on every single time. If there is even the slightest chance that the equipment won't work, don't put the project at risk: replace the risky equipment with something you can count on.
Surgeons Plan and Prepare
Unless a surgeon works in the emergency room, they meticulously plan and prepare. No surgeon walks into an operating room and says "Yee haw! Hand me a knife. I'm cutting on someone!" Instead, long before the actual operation, they plan and document everything they intend to do. By the time of the operation, they are simply following the playbook that they've already put together. On rare occasion, while in the operating room, they might encounter something unexpected. When they do, they document the scenario and amend their playbook in real-time.
We expect you to follow a similar approach.
Every part of your migration should be documented in your playbook. This will give you and your team confidence in the process and allow you to pinpoint any potential issue prior to the actual migration.
Surgeons Don't Take Shortcuts
No surgeon says "I'm only cutting on a small area. Do I really need to drape the whole body?" nor does a surgeon say "I'm only using a scalpel. Do I really need all my tools to be sanitized?" Surgeons don't take shortcuts because shortcuts increase the risk of the project going sideways.
We expect you to follow a similar approach.
Follow the tried-and-true processes that work every time and do not put your projects at risk.
