Amicus Accounting: Database Conversions
Because Amicus Accounting uses the FoxPro database engine, it must be converted before you can use it.
When you receive an Amicus Accounting backup, it will be a ZIP file with content like this:
You should extract the ZIP file and then locate the DATA directory as this contains the FoxPro database.
Connect Using Full Convert
Using Full Convert, you can now connect to the database with the following settings:
- Database Engine: DBF (dBase,FoxPro)
- Database Folder: Select the DATA folder from above
- Character Set: (autodetect)
You will now be able to convert the data to SQL Server.
