Any code customizations or enhancements developed by Rocket Matter should be applied to the development and production environments. Once the customizations have been applied, please provide Faster Law with a change log that indicates additions, modifications, and removals to the Rocket Matter database structure.
Please provide Faster Law with an after-hours cell phone number for the person who will be responsible for performing the "Final Migration" steps.
Prior to the migration, test user accounts should be created. These user accounts should follow the naming convention of:
XXXXXXX0@Migrations.Test.com
XXXXXXX1@Migrations.Test.com
XXXXXXX2@Migrations.Test.com
XXXXXXX3@Migrations.Test.com
Where XXXXXXX should be replaced with something identifiable to your law firm. For example, if the name of your firm is "Smith and Wesson Law", then the following accounts would be good: SWL0@Migrations.Test.com
SWL1@Migrations.Test.com
SWL2@Migrations.Test.com
SWL3@Migrations.Test.com
These user accounts will only be utilized during the migration for the purpose of previewing the imported data.
The Zero user will be used by our firm. The remaining logins should be assigned to each person on the firm's team who will be previewing the data. For example:
Joe: SWL1@Migrations.Test.com
Jane: SWL2@Migrations.Test.com
Jim: SWL3@Migrations.Test.com
It should be made clear to the customers that they should not share their login information otherwise they will kick each other out of the system.
In RocketMatter, go to Settings > Update Time Zone and specify the user's timezone. This is important because otherwise users will see calendar entries in the wrong timezone when they are previewing data.
After Faster Law has performed a preview migration, you should do the following actions:
After the final migration, all imported users should be reconnected to the RMAdmin database and the firm's TimeZone should be updated. Additionally, the cache should be cleared
