Centerbase Backups: Read Me First
When data is backed up from Centerbase, there are a few nuances you should be aware of:
Document Assignments
Like many other systems, in Centerbase, each object (like a Contact or a Matter) may have a folder associated with it. Any documents within one of these folders naturally belongs to the "parent".
This normally works as intended, however, if two contacts or matters have identical names, Centerbase may mistakenly link them to the same folder.
For example, if you have two contacts named John Smith, Centerbase may show the same set of documents for each contact.
When Universal Migrator encounters this situation, the documents will be assigned to the contact/matter that has most recently been edited.
