Connecting to Salesforce: Special Permissions
When you connect to Salesforce, for best results, you should use an account that has admin permissions.

Often times, a firm may think they have an admin user when they really don't.
Determine if a User is an Admin
To determine if a user is an admin, log into Salesforce, click the Gear icon and click on Developer Console.
If the Developer Console loads, you are an admin. If it does not or is not listed, you are not an admin.
