Enable BitLocker Encryption on Your Drive
In this article, we will walk you through the steps to enable BitLocker encryption on your drive.
- Open This PC on your computer.
1. Right-click on the drive where you want to enable BitLocker.
2. Click on Turn on BitLocker
- Select the option Use a password to unlock the drive
Enter a password easy for you to remember
Click Next
- Select Print the recovery key
- Click on Print
- You will be prompted to choose a location to save it as a .PDF, in this example I am choosing to save it in my Desktop.
Keep the default File name: Recovery Key
Click Save
- Click Next
- Click Activate BitLocker
- You are done, now that BitLocker is enabled, if you right click your drive, it will show the option to Manage BitLocker
