Restoring a Database and Documents with Online Backup.exe

Extracting a Database from Online Backup

  1. Login using the credentials for the Online Backup
  2. Click on Restore
  3. The Restore Wizard will open
    Click Next
  4. Click Next
  5. Select Run restore once
    Click Next
  6. Click Next
  7. Select Restore files and folders
    Click Next
  8. Select the Database backup to restore (e.g., DB Backup Plan)
    Click Next
  9. Select Latest version
    Click Next
  10. Click Yes to retrieve archived content (This may take a few minutes)
  11. Expand the drive and Check the BACPAC file to download
    Click Next
  12. Click on Browse and select the destination folder to download the files to.
    (eg. Location path: C:\Migrations\John Smith LLC\AmicusDatabase)
    Click Next
  13. Click Next
  14. Click Next
  15. Click Next
  16. Click Finish
  17. The BACPAC file is now being downloaded and it may take a few minutes depending on the size.

Extracting Documents from Online Backup

  1. Login using the credentials for the Online Backup
  2. Click on Restore
  3. The Restore Wizard will open
    Click Next
  4. Click Next
  5. Select Run restore once
    Click Next
  6. Click Next
  7. Select Restore files and folders
    Click Next
  8. Select the documents backup
    Click Next
  9. Select Latest version
    Click Next
  10. Click Yes to retrieve archived content (This may take a few minutes)
  11. Expand the drive and Check all files to download
    Click Next
  12. Click on Browse and select the destination folder to download the files to.
    (eg. Location path: C:\Migrations\John Smith LLC\AmicusDocuments)
    Click Next
  13. Click Next
  14. Click Next
  15. Click Next
  16. Click Finish
  17. Files are now being downloaded and it may take a few hours depending on the size.
