Restoring a Zen Database

Extract the Files

Unzip the folder containing the database files to a local directory, for example I used:
 C:\ZenDatabases\OrionBackup

Open Zen Control Center

Click the Start Menu and search for
Zen Control Center & Documentation.
Click Open

Create a New Database

  1. In the Zen Control Center’s left panel
    Expand Engines
    Expand your engine (e.g., Galatea)
    Expand Databases
    Right-click Databases and select New > Database

  2. Name your database (e.g., OrionComp)
    For Location, browse and select the folder where you extracted the files (e.g., C:\ZenDatabases\OrionBackup)
    Click Finish

  3. Find your new database in the Zen Control Center under Databases.
    You’ll see Tables listed under the Tables node
    You can right-click a table and click Open to view it's data and test access.
